In-situ & Mobile Programs
Mobile Simulation
A cargo van and mobile equipment provide the Clinical Simulation team with the ability to bring simulation activities to organizations away from the HealthPartners Clinical Simulation & Learning Center. Simulations activities are provided at medical & dental clinics, community hospitals, air transport bases, offices, or other settings. The same level of fidelity is possible with mobile simulation as is offered within the Center. Simulation activities either occur within an education/conference area or on a patient care unit. The simulation team provides wireless mannequins and AV equipment. The facility provides space and their own clinical equipment.
Service Area: HealthPartners Mobile Simulation travels throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Contact Gail Johnson for additional information and fees. | In-situ Simulation
In-situ simulation provides an opportunity for participants to manage the simulation in their actual clinical environment and not in a simulation center or lab. When simulations are held in-situ, process & systems issues are able to be identified and corrected.
Current in-situ simulations include: mock codes, post partum hemorrhage, managing medical emergencies in dental clinics, and emergencies in ambulatory care. |
