Course Description

Transitioning from practice to clinical faculty can sometimes be a “trial by fire”. This course is designed to guide you through that fire. With a shortage of clinical nursing faculty, practice experts are being asked to teach nursing students, yet have little exposure to teaching strategies and learning theories. This immersive program offers clinical faculty the opportunity to practice the teaching role in a series of realistic simulated scenarios. Participants have an opportunity to review and discuss actions taken during each simulation in a debriefing session. During this reflective discussion, clinical faculty will navigate through challenges that occur in the clinical setting. This course is intended to give them tools in their tool kit.
